SoulRave is a dark roast blend focused on creating sweet and chocolatey flavor profiles.
One of the coffees is from the Bugisu region in eastern Uganda on the slopes of Mount Elgon, an extinct volcano on the border with Kenya that is thought to be the oldest volcano on the African continent. Volcanic soils, plentiful rain, high altitude and abundant sunshine are all contributing factors to the excellent terroir of the Mt Elgon region
The second coffee is from the Makonga AMCOS (Agricultural and Marketing Cooperative Society) was founded in 2018 to provide more convenient access for the 230 members of the group. Their washing station, or CPU, is growing annually and the group is actively pursuing infrastructure investments. During harvest, smallholder farmers growing in the nearby villages of Makonga, Mtwala, Kilosa and Kioka deliver cherry in the afternoon and early evening, where the coffees are then pulped, sorted into grades and laid on drying tables for 14 to 21 days.
